About Us

Julian Shoolheifer was raised in a family with strong classic car interest. His formative years were spent surrounded by historic cars including Grand Prix Maserati and pre-War Alfa Romeo which started a life-long love affair with all things mechanical and a passion for vehicle restoration, conservation and modification.

Attaining an honours degree in Fine Art Valuation at Southampton was the precursor to a dozen years working for the UK's major players in the classic car and motorcycle auction industry, including Brooks, Sotheby's and five years heading Cheffins' classic car department. Julian also writes as a European auction analyst for, amongst others, US magazine, Sports Car Market.

Julian's wife Katharine's experience lies in sales and marketing, with a number of years working for Ford Motor Company within its marketing department and later for one of its major design agencies.

Together they run Julian Shoolheifer Limited. Their broad experience has allowed access to, and an understanding of, virtually every category of historic car and motorcycle, from London-Brighton runners to 80's classics.
